Rainbow live in Osaka, Japan 01/17/1978
Hello Rainbow fans and happy 40th anniversary. Here is another full live performance by Rainbow. This concert takes place at Japan's one and only Orix Theater. Back then it was called the Osaka Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan. This audio recording comes from a bootleg released by Tarantura last year in May called, "Listen to this Mr. Peach." This time, the taper is not Mr. Peach, instead it is Mr. Parsley, (a.k.a. The Archivist). Mr. Parsley captures the bands brilliant performance and seems to be relatively close to the stage and records Rainbow at their best. It is unknown if Mr. Peach was in attendance at this concert. There was a 2009 release by Tarantura of this same concert, but the source is a soundboard recording and that bootleg is called "An Die Freude". This concert took place at the Orix Theater on a Tuesday Night in (Wel City) Osaka, Japan on 01/17/1978. Catch the Rainbow is about 22 minutes long at the concert.
